The Fall of 2019 brought new faces to local communities with new individuals elected to serve. Local elected officials (ex. county commissioners, mayors, and others) serve critical roles and partners to Pennsylvania's local workforce development system. In partnership with the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, PWDA put together a guide for local elected officials on the roles, responsibilities and vision of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA).
