We are pleased to announce that the PA Workforce Development Association (PWDA) and the PA Department of Labor & Industry will jointly present the Governor’s Achievement Award to Employers and Individual Jobseekers during the 2022 Annual Conference. These awards, respectively, recognize Pennsylvania employers that are exemplary supporters of workforce, community, and economic development in the commonwealth, and which have created jobs and partnered to hire skilled workers through Pennsylvania’s workforce development system, along with individual jobseekers who have put forth extraordinary personal effort to use resources provided through the workforce development system to achieve an employment and/or education goal.

If you are a LWDB Director and wish to submit a nomination, use the Employer Nomination Application or the Individual Jobseeker Nomination Application.

We all know that the world has changed since the start of the pandemic, and in turn, so has workforce development.
How can your workshop provide development and capacity building opportunities to these professionals?
PWDA is looking for workshop presenters to feature program innovations, policy updates, staff development, and best practice sessions to provide attendees with the tools they need to replicate and implement successful programs in their local workforce areas. PWDA's priority is to continue forward as a credible and centralized resource for workforce expertise, research, and data - Annual Conference workshops should support this priority.

Please read through the following information:

Tracks Workshops content MUST fit under one of the following tracks: Barriers to Employment, Economic Development, EARN/TANF Programs, Education, Employer Engagement, Fiscal & Quality Assurance, Policy & Communications, Professional Development, Service Delivery, and Youth.
